TIME-LAPSE PHOTOGRAPHY

While aerial photography has opened up a new world of perspectives in space, time-lapse photography extends this perspective into time. A time-lapse or two adds greatly to the visual appeal of any production and can help to really grab the attention of potential customers.

For Kestrel Media, time-lapse is both a specialty and a passion. We are always on the lookout for the subject of our next 'sped up world'.

There are 3 different types of time-lapse

  • Static Time-lapse

  • Motion Time-lapse

  • Hyper-lapse

A static time-lapse is created with a stationary camera.

In a motion time-lapse, the camera moves either along a sliding track, a motorised panning ball-head or a combination of both.

In a hyper-lapse, the camera moves a significant distance throughout the time-lapse, possibly even up to kilometres.
